Batam_Pulau Subang Mas is a small inhabited island in the southern waters of Batam, Indonesia. Located about 35 minutes by boat from Rempang Cate, the island offers a peaceful atmosphere and untouched natural beauty.

Unlike many popular destinations, Pulau Subang Mas remains quiet and authentic. Most residents work as fishermen, allowing visitors to experience traditional island life while enjoying stunning coastal scenery.

History and Cultural Heritage

Pulau Subang Mas has strong ties to the former Daik-Lingga Kingdom. According to local stories, the island’s name comes from subang, or gold earrings, associated with Putri Dahlia and the royal family.

The island is also home to the tomb of Putri Dahlia, which serves as an important historical landmark. In addition, visitors can find Telaga Payung Mahkota, a freshwater spring that locals have used for generations.

Local legends say royal princesses once bathed in this spring during the kingdom’s era.

Moondarhanna Beach and Natural Attractions

Moondarhanna Beach, also known as Pantai Permata, is the island’s main attraction. The beach features clear seawater, bright sand, and unique reddish granite rocks along the shoreline.

Furthermore, local residents believe the area was once connected to Chinese gold traders, adding another layer to its rich history. Today, visitors can swim, relax by the beach, explore historical sites, or simply enjoy the tranquil environment
